African Safari: 8 Destinations, One Promise

Africa is the only continent where you can still observe large wild species in their natural habitat, roaming free in protected areas covering millions of hectares. This reality is not guaranteed forever. It exists today, and it justifies going to experience it now.

At Fundis'Africa, we organize tailor-made safaris in eight African destinations: South Africa, Botswana, Kenya, Namibia, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. These destinations cover two major regions: Southern Africa and East Africa. Each has its own parks, seasons, iconic species, and unique experiences. No two are alike.

What unites all our destinations is the approach we have had since day one: FGASA certified guides, French and English speaking, who accompany each traveler with a knowledge of the terrain impossible to acquire from an office.

How to choose your safari destination in Africa?

The question we receive most often is simple: which destination should I choose? The honest answer is that it depends on you, not on a universal ranking.

For a first safari

South Africa is the ideal destination for a first safari from France. Direct flights, no visa required, excellent infrastructure, the Big Five easily accessible, and accommodations to suit all budgets. It's the most affordable gateway to an African safari, without compromising on the quality of the experience.

For the great migration

Tanzania and Kenya share the territory of the Great Migration, the most spectacular natural phenomenon on the planet. More than 1.5 million wildebeest and zebras travel the same route each year between the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. The Mara River crossings take place from July to October, while the births at Ndutu occur from January to March.

For exclusivity and total immersion

Botswana is the ultimate premium safari destination. Its low-density tourism policy guarantees uncrowded wildlife viewing and exceptionally intimate experiences. The Okavango Delta is one of the most extraordinary ecosystems on the planet.

For the walking safari

Zambia is the birthplace of the walking safari. Its South Luangwa National Park, a pioneer of walking safaris since the 1950s, is the world's leading destination for this activity. Zimbabwe and its Mana Pools National Park complete this duo for travelers who want to experience the bush at eye level.

For an extraordinary experience

Uganda is one of the few destinations in the world where you can observe mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Only 1,000 individuals of this species remain on the planet. The time spent in their presence in the impenetrable Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is an unparalleled travel experience.

For wide open spaces and landscapes

Namibia is the destination for absolute landscapes. Etosha, Namib Desert, Sossusvlei dunes, Damaraland, Skeleton Coast: this country combines quality wildlife safaris with landscapes of a mineral and austere beauty that few other African destinations can offer.

What Fundis' Africa brings to each destination

The difference between a travel agency selling Africa and Fundis'Africa is a difference in experience. Our FGASA-certified guides were trained and certified in Africa. They know these parks intimately, having explored them extensively, not simply by cataloging them.

This direct knowledge translates concretely into each stage of the organization of your safari: in the choice of the area and the lodge or camp according to the season, in the selection of the local guides who accompany the activities, in the recommendations on the optimal periods for each type of observation and in the precise preparation that we do with each traveler before their departure.

All our safaris are tailor-made, conducted in French or English, with end-to-end support from the initial call until your return. We are members of APST (financial guarantee) and insured by Hiscox, two essential guarantees for any organized trip departing from France.
