This exclusive tour takes you to the heart of two of the country's most magnificent nature reserves: South Luangwa National Park, renowned for its leopards and walking safaris, and Kafue National Park, a vast and still relatively unexplored wilderness. Each day is designed as a total immersion, taking you through floodplains, rivers teeming with hippos, open savannas, and dense forests. Accompanied by experienced guides, you'll explore unspoiled nature through 4x4 safaris, walking excursions, and night drives, allowing you to get close to wildlife in exceptional conditions. An intense, authentic, and unforgettable safari for lovers of raw nature and wide-open spaces.
Day 1: Arrival in Lusaka and transfer to South Luangwa
Welcome to Zambia!
You will be met at Lusaka airport by your French-speaking safari guide.
Domestic flight to South Luangwa National Park.
Transfer by 4x4 to your first lodge, nestled deep in the bush.
Settle in, relax and dine at the lodge with views of the surrounding nature.
Days 2/3/4: Safari in the northern part of South Luangwa – First lodge
On the agenda for the next few days:
Early morning and late afternoon safaris in 4x4 vehicles in search of lions, elephants, leopards and large herbivores.
Walking safaris are available, guided by experienced trackers.
Observation along the Luangwa River, a true gathering point for wildlife.
Evenings around the fire under the starry African sky.
Days 5/6/7: New area of South Luangwa – Second lodge
The day's agenda includes:
Transfer to a lodge located in another region of the park, for a different approach.
4x4 safaris in sparsely populated areas.
Night safari to encounter the discreet wildlife (civets, hyenas, genets...).
Subject to availability: boat trip on the river (in high season), ideal for observing birds and crocodiles.
Day 8: Flight to Kafue National Park
Domestic flight to Kafue, one of Africa's largest parks.
Transfer to a secluded lodge, on the riverbank or in the heart of the savannah.
Afternoon 4x4 safari in search of large predators: lions, leopards, cheetahs...
Dinner in the heart of nature in a wild setting.
Days 9/10: Exploring Kafue Park
For the next two days:
Sunrise safaris to observe animals active at dawn.
Observation of rare antelopes, elephants, buffalo and endemic birds.
Night safari to see species active at nightfall.
Optional walking safari to learn to read wildlife tracks and discover local medicinal plants.
Day 11: Last safari and return to Lusaka
Early morning safari to enjoy the exceptional wildlife of Kafue one last time.
Lunch at the lodge then return flight to Lusaka.
Transfer to the international airport for your return flight.
