Zimbabwe in 7 days: the perfect introduction to an underrated destination
This 7-day itinerary is the perfect introductory format to Zimbabwe, the Southern African safari destination that offers the best intensity-to-accessibility ratio in the Fundis'Africa portfolio.
Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world, opens this tour with a unique sensory experience. 1,708 meters wide, 108 meters high, with a flow rate of one million liters per second during floods. The mist created by the impact of the water sustains a permanent rainforest on the banks and drenches visitors up to fifty meters away. The approach from the Zimbabwean side offers the most direct and spectacular views.
The Lower Zambezi
The Lower Zambezi runs along the north bank of the Zambezi River. It is a destination of striking beauty where canoe safaris offer the chance to paddle silently among hippos, along riverbanks where elephants drink, and to observe exceptional birdlife. Lions, leopards, and elephants frequent the riparian areas of the Lower Zambezi in large numbers.
Hwange National Park
Hwange, Zimbabwe's largest park, is home to one of the highest concentrations of elephants in southern Africa. Its private concessions allow off-road and night drives, with remarkably dense wildlife around the artificial waterholes that keep the park active year-round.
